Default battery size

hey guys i have a 97 sc300 an dont know realy any thing about batterys mine failed and i know ours is i belive an f24 585 cca dose the f 24 matter? what if it says 700 or 600 cca witch i think is in my brothers broke down blazer? i need help can i use something that big or will it fry my computer? thanks guys!

You'll be fine man. CCA/CA only effects the starting system. You could use a 12,000 CA battery and be fine. You can basically use any battery that fits.

As long as the battery fits the dimensions of the battery tray and has the proper terminal orientation, the specs don't matter too much. I believe SCs are 27F stock (I've never been able to confirm that) and 24F is a smaller form factor that works equally well.
