Last Nights Dyno Graph (SP63, AEM, 15psi)
Scott, my understanding was that the new turbos coming out from them are to fill in some gaps in the lineup, not to replace it, could be wrong, but pretty sure this also has nothing to do with the SP turbos, since the technology appears to have come out after SP had their turbo lineup. Just having trouble deciding on the best A/R for me, Lar said for my application I should just start with the .58, cheap enogh to upgrade later, but angel's dyno on the big housing is very impressive, don't think i've seen anyone dyno such a good number @ 15 pounds on a 'smallish' turbo, your thoughts Scott?
I wish I could give some of you guys a ride ... I made a video of it .. just 3 quick 2nd gear pulls ...

I wrote a nice big writeup on the AEM forum about the driveability because we have A LOT of tuning to do yet ... I am having issues with the idle and the throttle response .. so it is rather difficult to drive ... but nevertheless, it is still more fun than you can imagine.
Lex, I see no reason to go with anything but the .81 A/R. (Just my drag racing bias, here) More power for less boost. You make power up higher, and sacrifice some spool, though. As an easy upgrade to the 60-1, I may try something more than .58. like a .81 or .96 even. My setup is more geared for higher rpm anyways. If you're going with 8.5:1 and looking for quick spool, I may be inclined to go with a smaller A/R. Lag on 10:1 compression is a non-issue, especially with stock cams, could definitely benefit from the .81. Seems like Angel has almost found the magic bullet for streetable performance with good track capabilities. His car is gonna be wicked fast on the street and put up good track numbers as well if the driveline can put the power down.

You can not go wrong with the SP63 turbo .70 a/r, this is exactly what setup I am putting on my SC300 5 spd. My goal is 550rwhp and around 500tq, with this power I am eating close to anything on the street. I am maintaining my sleeper status as well. The only thing is that my turbo will not be an SP, but rather a Battleground creation that should out spool the SP turbo and make the same or better power with the new GT wheel.
No, That is SP (Street Performance) Engineering. Not Sound Performance. I just visited Sound Performance website. I wonder whose turbos are they using? Garrett? Turbonetics? I am sure they dont make their own turbo or do they? Just like HKS are made by Garrett with HKS specs.
