Default Anybody know what size socket to use on front wheel bearing nut

I need to order a socket to get these loose, I know I don't have anything larger than a 34mm and it's larger than that.

Sorry, I don't know the size, but if you're going to be working on your car, a dial or digital caliper is a must.

Default I own one of those and am quite familiar with how to use it

The reason I asked was to attempt to avoid having to pull the wheel, pull the cap and measure it, then put it back together and order what I need for the job later. It was simply a question to someone who has already performed this task and knows what tools I need so as to avoid this extra task. It just so happens that a few months ago while I was changing control arms, I pulled one cap and was going to remove the nut and look at the bearing. My 34mm was too small and I said then I needed to measure it but was busy with the task at hand and didn't get that done. So, that's how I know it's larger than 34. True, should have measured it but I didn't.

That might be a little over your head, so just skip over these type posts next time.

32mm

But please take it easy on me if I'm wrong.

I had to buy a 32mm and a 35mm for my Trail SS and my SC and I don't remember which was which. I'm 90% that the Lexus was the 32mm.

Default I have a 34 that I bought for the diff yoke nut

and it was too small when I tried it last fall on the wheel bearing nut (front, just to be more specific). Like I said in previous post, should have measured then but didn't. Guess I'll just go to the trouble of getting to the cap and pulling it off to measure the nut.

Most likely a 36mm. 36mm and 32mm are the 2 most common sizes on Japanese cars.
