At the time Supra Store had some response to the CD009 transmission alternative for the 2JZ. TOB, adapter plate, R 154 Bellhousing. Long story short, they needed to remake the adapter plate needed to be remade as it wasn't clearing properly.
Finally got it all sorted out and runs awesome. Still used to the 5 spd, forget there is another gear.

single click on starter
hello responding to an old thread, having a single click issue not sure what it could be. First thing first I have a 1jz cd009 using the collins adapter and flywheel to mate and using an open faced 2jz starter. I crank the car I get a loud single click from the starter 10x. But the weird thing is when I crank the engine slightly with a wrench a few times ( guessing game) then crank it, it eventually runs right up. Is it a misalignment issue or a jammed starter idk?
