Mine used to do that. I'm not positive which of my many projects cured that ill, but I think it was getting the ECU serviced. I don't recall if you said whether you've had that done?

I have not, my car is high mileage (175k) bought it at 172k. So I'm not sure what the previous owner did. Seems to me the previous did not take care of it much since many of the things I replaced were in bad condition(spark plugs, air filters, tires, etc).

Before even going with the ECU service I have to make sure it is that, now I know eventually I'm going to have to do that but as of right now I want to see if there is anything other problem besides that. The reason why I am saying that is because everything else seems to be fine and there are no signs of the ECU going bad, like weird electric gremlins which I know aren't necessary to show up.

Being your daily driver makes it tough to get the ECU serviced, unless you can find a loaner, but I would highly recommend getting that done if you can't find any indication on the lid of the P.O. having done so. If the caps aren't leaking already, they will be soon... Getting it done will eliminate a lot of the guesswork with other stuff.

Well here's another update, I got P0130, P0133, P0150 and P0153. All codes are related to O2 Sensors. Basically bank 1 and bank 2 oxygen sensors are showing a constant voltage or a very slow response.

I think it is a vacuum leak of some kind, can't exactly check it now. I'll be going out of state for a month or so. When I come back I'll do a smoke test and see if it coming out from somewhere.

From all these symptoms happening, what can ya'll conclude what the issue is?

Perfect opportunity to leave the car behind and send the ECU in for servicing.

Should have thought of that before too late now, oh well. As I was taking the battery out of the car I noticed a hose was unplugged, i didn't have time to start the car but I'll mark on this picture what hose it was. Anyone know what it does? Circled with blue above the intake manifold.

Not my engine, found stock photo online

I'm not as familiar with your model year setup, but it looks like that's coming off the power steering pump, for the variable assist power steering at speed. There shouldn't be any problem running with it unplugged, from what others have said, as long as the barb it originally connects to on the intake is capped.

Edit: Stumbling across this thread again 9 months later, and now having some VVTi 1UZ experience... I was right about where the connected end of that hose goes, but the disconnected barb is supposed to go the other way to the Heater Control Valve.
