GTE auto with TT ecu thread
Found a way to wire up GTE auto with tt ecu mod.
Parts list:
GTE auto/with converter
GTE converter bolts
90105-10340 Bolt, X 5
90105-10547 Bolt, X 1
GTE flexplate
SC400 drive shaft
LS400 rear tranny yoke
GTE solenoid pigtail
GTE overdrive pigtail
the ge harness will be reused with the exception of the solenoid plug.
the overdrive pigtail is the 2 connector one. The yellow will connect to B1
the blue will connect to B21
the solenoid pigtail is as follows
B12 is blue wire
B13 is gray wire
B10 is red wire
B-9 is reb/blue stripe
Black red wires go to ignition switched
B14 is brownish black wire
B31 is red

no this is for wiring up a 2jzgte auto transmission.
the 2jzgte auto has an electronic line pressure (no cable coming from throttle body like 2jzge auto trans), and also the torque converter lockup is a different signal. So if you want everything to work like on a gte, you swap to a gte auto and do the above wiring.

But I am conflicted, and bear with me because I'm an old man. In our previous private conversation you mentioned tt auto TC lockup can happen if all is wired correctly; I'm assuming this isn't it? You must have meant complete harness wiring and such. Thanks for the patience.

I am not positive on exactly what plug controls what as I dont mess with the auto plugs ever, but I know from looking at the schematics that the GE trans has all the wires you need running to it already EXCEPT for the 2 wires for the line pressure as its electric now instead of a cable from the throttle body (you will see that when you do the swap), these will need to be added. the wire that controls torque converter lockup is already there, just the signal has changed when using the tt ecu so the GE trans doesn't understand it. you dont need additional wiring, just installing the gte trans and putting this wire to the right spot on the connector will do the trick.
some of the connectors might even be the same between the 2 transmissions, i am not sure though, not a lot of people go this route if I had I would have written it out in more detail.

you need the plug from the turbo harness. it will be a square 8 pin connector. everything goes through that plug. I forgot to add that the temp sensor can be bypassed with a 100ohm resistor to ground, otherwise it will throw a code and keep the od light blinking.
