SC300 slightly chokes at start up
This has been happening for a few weeks. Keep in mind that I only drive my car one or twice a week. At start up, if you literally count to 60 seconds, the car will almost choke completely. If I turn on the lights, the idle will rise to a normal amount and settle just fine. I've experimented a few times with just letting it die. However, the revs will bounce around slightly from 250 to 750 until I turn the lights on. I think the IACV or even the TPS is slightly damaged. If I drive the car for my normal one+ hour commute, the car idles fine at every stop light. This only happens at start up and I don't have a CEL.
I'll make a note that my car runs very shaky (literally). I've either broken a motor/trans mount, or something is very wrong with this car. It shakes with all acceleration up to 2000 RPM's. The shifter shakes and makes a rattling noise (especially in third). I changed the plugs, wires, etc but it didn't change anything. I gave it an oil change last weekend and didn't notice anything unusual in the oil. I've just ignored the vibration and enjoyed the "Nascar" feeling I don't want to invest a lot of big money into this car right now, so I've just ignored it.
