Master cylinder install question on 5sp swap
I am wanting to start prepping my SC300 for at least a 5 speed swap in case I run out of money for a while before I can get a nice turbo and standalone for my 1JZ. Anyways, I was looking under the hood today for a stamped area or something I can punch out for the master cylinder to mount, but I see absolutely nowhere beside my brake booster where it is supposed to mount. There isn't much space before it turns into the fender liner.
I'm just curious if maybe there is a larger brake booster in mine for some reason that might be covering up where it's supposed to go, was just curious if anyone else has this problem. When it's light outside tomorrow I suppose I could go snap a few pics, but just checking it out right fast before I went to class this evening, I saw nothing that looked like the proper location.

Ahh, I see the area where it's supposed to go. I can see 1 bolt hole, the main hole, and the other bolt hole has a little white glue like stuff over it but shouldn't be too hard to find. Now to just figure out how I'm going to get a drill in there to drill those out...it's such a tight space! Back to Google!
p.s. Drilling those holes out is a PAIN! I got the 2 holes for the bolts to go through, now to just get the bits I saw on a thread on doing this on an SC400 so I can get the rod/grommet through so it'll sit like factory.

You can do it, it's not that hard. The best way is to pull down all the carpeting and remove the brake pedal, I had to move couple of things around to get the space for the drill and the pedal assembly as well. The top small hole I drilled from under the hood, the bigger hole I used one of those hole expander drill bits, after I drilled a small hole in the middle of it first and all from the inside of the car if that helps Take your time and make it a fun little project! I did this about 3 weeks ago and took some pics too
