Did you disconnect the MAF by any chance? That sounds somewhat like what mine does, although a number of people say theirs run fine with it disconnected.

I put shift solenoids in transmission, ran fine for a week, reves up fine when in park or nutral. Now it's seeming to come and go (only drove once and ran fine for a few blocks then started running very poorly, let it sit 15 min or so and bam.. drove home fine) so I'm thinking electrical seems like a giant short or something, thanks a bunch for help guys, I want my SC back to normal!

Coils come to mind, but I'm thinking the tranny fluid level is inadequate. The torque converter takes up a lot of ATF, it circulates it all throughout the tranny, if you dont put the designated amount of ATF into the transmission, it will do a lot of things that seem wonky. On level ground, and with the car at idle, check the fluid level of the tranny.
