Default Civic AEM V2

I tried finding it but found nothing. What is the difference between an AEM V2 ECM for a civic and for the SC or TT supra? There is a difference in price; 1200 for Civic, 1800 for SC, and 2000 for TT Supra.

Ive seen a few people on here selling Honda Civic Aem's, does it do the exact same as the SC ones?

Probably programmed for 4 cylinders. Driftmotion uses those for their 1jz v2 systems. Guessing it's all in the programming.

I recieved some information from a member on here.

wiring work is required to use this ecu on 2jz or 1jz. Only has setup for 4 coils on this aem. So you need to run wasted spark setup for ignition. Then you have 2 options with the wiring: 1) Being that you are going to be using the Honda aem ecu, you have to use the aem Honda connector plugs. So you would need to either de-pin all the engine portion from the 80 pin connector (2j) that you are going to use and pin it into the aem connectors. As for the 40 pin body plug (2jz) connector same thing, but to make wiring easier just de-pin the 40 pin wires (2j) body plug and pin it into the aem connector matching were indicated: 1.IGSW 2) FP Signal etc. Remember that the AEM ECU is replacing the 1j or 2j oem ecu. All your doing is blending the aem body plug connectors with your factory IK1, IJ1,IK2 body connectors, etc to retain functions of all body/chassis functions. On the 2jz the 40 pin body plug is joined with the body plugs that are connected to inside your car(the ones mentioned above IK1 etc.) by depinning the 40 pin connector and pinning it on the aem helps you from having to deal with the body portion of the harness. Look into it before getting into this.

Whis is a great start. Is there a write on this? So this will need ecm connector harness to be spliced and to use VVT-i coil pack conversion, after that it becomes the same?

Seemed like my hand writing. lol. If you run the vvti coils you are going to run them as wasted spark regardless do to limit of coil input on aem. Making it only 3 coils you have to wire. Leaving you with a spare coil input on the aem available. You wire coil 1 and 6 together, 2 and 5 together, and 3 and 4 together. Coil setup done. Every other option is available in this ecu. Has been proven to work by buddy's at RACELAB.

The obd1 Honda aem box doesn't have the "hard cold start" resistor issues. Its the obd2 box that are garbo. This one will run 1jz or 2jz vvti or not. They have used them plenty times on 2jz, rb26 etc
