Default coolant tank

I have a sc400 and I need to make room in the engine bay, and I was planning to move the coolant expansion tank somewhere else and/or just replace it with a overflow tank.

I was wondering what I would do with the small tube that comes out of the thermostat housing (The coolant inlet).

I looked around and the only answers i see are plug up the small hose or alloy weld the hole. Im just unsure of which one would be a better option without having the car over heat.

If anyone can answer this, I would appreciate it!!

Happy New Years!!

Well you could always just plug it at first, and if the car operates well then weld it. However if you weld it at first then you're kind of stuck with it
