Default Timing cover gasket

Greetings to all. I just bought a 1999 SC300. It needs timing belt service. I have not been able to get timing cover gaskets locally. Tried O'reilly, Advance, Napa, etc. They have no gasket listed. There appears to be a gasket on the Lexus parts websites. Need explanation . Thanks for any help.

Not sure what a timing cover gasket is Its just a timing belt and maybe while your there cam seals, water pump, a new idler pulley, tensioner, and a water pump. but if your not familiar with VVTI cams I highly suggest you don't take on this project.

Thanks for your reply. I do not intend to do the repair. I am getting the parts prior to taking the car to my mechanic. I am still confused that Lexus parts suppliers show 2 gaskets part #11322d and11322e but none of the local parts stores have these gaskets. So do I need gaskets or not?

2JZ engines have the plastic timing covers, upper and lower. Upper cover is by the serpertine belt tensioner, lower cover is behind the harmonic balancer. When you look at the edges of those 2 plastic covers, you will see rubber seals. I don't think you can get them at local auto parts store. I would get them at Toyota dealership or ebay. Note that GE and GTE rubber seals are slightly different. I have GE rubber seal on my GTE lower timing cover and it is a tad short
