Default sc300 ac compressor compatibility?

Hey so i think my compressor is out. When i turn it on nothing hapens and the ac light starts blinking, then when i turn it on and give it gas it squeals louder and louder as i give it more gas.

So heres my question. I have a 92 sc3, are all sc300 compressors compatible?

I remember on my 95 the ac lines were differen than a 93 lines,so im not sure if its the same for the pumps. im not sure if pre 95 lines are all the same and post 95 are all the same. Anyways im looking for a replacement now so will any sc3 pump work?

Ive heard that soarer compresors are the same

Lmk

Thanks

i have a 92, my a/c stopped working. in 95' the us made r134 mandatory but i dont think the sc got it till' 96'. however if u wanna get specific it depends on the month in the year your car was manufactured. not sure about soarers but it sounds like your compressors gone. u can pick up a used one for $100 bucks or less at a junkyard. i retrofitted 134 lines on my r12 and forced a/c pro in but theres a leak on mine so it didnt last. winters here anyway. good luck!

i believe my car already has the conversion, i got it filled not to long ago professionaly, no leaks . the vaccum was perfect. so when we filled it and tried to start the ac thats when i knew it was the pump

so do you think il be safe if i get a compressor for 92-94?

from what i can see a 98 pump is in fact different from older models, im not sure when the change starts, but on ebay i can see pictures, one coming from what looks like a 98 99 with a vvti motor, the ports for the lines is the same 2 holes but with only 2 pins, the older model compressors have the same 2 holes but they have 4 pins

but it just dosnt make any sense, the 4 pin ac pump is described for 94-2000

and the 2 pin pump says it works 92-2000

as you can see here

this is the 4 pin compressor, the add describes it for 94-2000

and here is the 2 pin compressor

this add describes it for 93-98 supras and 92-2000 sc, it also says its a re manufactured oem unit

and heres another listing

this one says it for 94-2000. it shows the car thats its from and its a vvti 97+ sc.

any ideas? il keep digging to find an answer

edit:

ok so heres a compressor from a 97

im not sure is the 2 pin compressor is the newer style nor do i know what year they started them in, but from the pics the 4 pin compressor looks like its from a 95-96 since thats the front bumper it has on

just stay on the safe side and get a compressor for the same year as yours...or try the autoparts store, theyre system knows what fits exactly.

the studs will align the lines with the compressor.
