Default Who Can HELP Me

I live in California , Sacramento area to be exact and i need help with my 1992 SC300 . If somebody lives out here and knows how to work with the SC300 's i would must appreciate it . I have a leak and i need some expert help trying to locate this leak . Basically what happens is i think i have a Transmission leak , I didnt fix it ever since i had my car since last year. Two days ago i went fishing on my car which is like 25 miles from my house . I think the tranny fluid way low because when i got home the engine was smoking and its never done that before it would always smoke from under the car due to probably oil dripping onto the exhaust and burning from there. But this time it was coming from the top of the engine ? i poured tranny fluid , took a shower and then started my car up went inside because i forgot my phone , I come outside and my engine is smoking like never before . It smelled like plastic was burning or maybe a wire ? I tryed locating any burned wires or plastic but didn't find any. HELP ME PLEASE

I had a similar leak like that on a 78 corolla. The output shaft bearing on the trans tailshaft wore out, so when the car was moving, the driveshaft would move side to side and then oil would slowly leak out, and spray all over the exhaust, which caused smoke.

I had to press out the worn bearing in the tailshaft and replace the driveshaft yolk.

moved to maintanance section, also check your valve cover gaskets and the distributor o-ring.

shouldn't be hard to find a leak thats smoking alot, you may have to wash the area down if there are a few spots it could be coming from, you should see it right away after that.

Only way to find the leak or whatever is wrong with it is to get at it and look for it, nobody is going to be able to find it thru the internet kid

You need to check underneath your car to see if you do indeed have a transmission leak or not. Must be a leak in the engine bay to smoke that much. Have you checked for coolant leak?

Keep driving it til something catches fire. Wherever the flames start should be the general are of the leak.
