sc400 Hurricane Headers?

Buuuuuump
What was the end result for you guys did anyone purchase the hurricane headers? Im interested in a group buy or just a simple review on your install and performance results. One day of labor doesnt bother me for 10-15 hp gains

PPE have a solid reputation, I have a set and love them. To me it seems like a no-brainer to go with PPE over something that no ones heard of.

I've seen them on group buys in the Vendor Classifieds section before. If you search it I'm sure you can PM the vendor that carries them.
And yes you'll need to at least tilt the engine to get any headers installed on a 1UZ, unless the mechanic can find some sort of work around.
Headers are not a cheap upgrade for SC's, your looking at a few hundred dollars for install on top of the $888ish for the headers themselves.

They still make them. A bit expensive, and yes a pain to install, but for 20hp 20lbf on the wheels, they just may be worth it.

they look exactly like OBX headers that are 350, i think i'll just go with those even though they might be thinner stainless or whatever. OBX has had a while to improve their game and i haven't heard too many nightmare stories about them.

They dont look much like the OBX to me, those look like all other cheap China headers. Ive had them on other cars before. One cracked. Another did not. Both looked and felt cheap.
Ill need to think on this one. 900$ is a little much for a set of headers, still Im not going to get 20hp on the entire RPM band from anything else I do to this engine, so its probably the best mod I can do.

Would depend a lot on your level of expertise, tools, and a lift and welder. Not to mention a nice garage to do it in. Hate to be the guy that says this, but, I thought it was determined our stock manifolds were good for 350 hp.

Two workshops in my hometown of Melbourne have them advertised on eBay AUS. No mention of international shipping from either however.
There is around an $80 difference in asking price between the two sellers so be sure to check both out, either way you are looking at $500-$580 US + shipping.
