Cold starts it idles a little over 1k but, once it's out in the sun it idles down to 100-200 then stalls.Last couple times it would stall once I come to a stop and it's in neutral so I would have to run the a/c a little.I haven't touched throttle plate screw. The engine codes only come up right before it stalls also.Cold starts it's fine

make sure your ecu isn't sitting in wet or sitting in water, it happens more often than you think.
could also be bad caps in the ecu.

I will check the ecu.I have had a bad cap replaced before but,was very obvious with rpm bouncing up/down and smoking daily.

Since your problem is with the engine warm, I'd replace the engine coolant temp (ECT) sensor on the intake manifold. It's about a $9 part, and it tells your ECU how rich/lean to make the air/fuel mix. My ls400 had similar problems with strong exhaust smell, poor hot performance, bad gas mileage, poor idle. Replacing that and a leaking EGR modulator valve that had a ruptured diaphragm in it completely solved my issues.

I figured most of it out.The egr elbow tube was gunked up which helped out the idle and most of the smell then it started again to find out the pvc tube was leaking through ?There were no cuts, slits of any kind but,oil residue so I replaced that couple days ago and the idle seems to be fine now.Now I want to figure out the strong smell of exhaust at start up.Thinking maybe an exhaust leak?Everything is original at 140K.

Thanks
