Clean Throttle Body with BG 44K or Sea Foam?

stuff from your gas tank goes to the injectors, which gets sprayed into the head. at no point in time whatsoever does anything in your fuel tank go through your throttle body, or even your intake manifold for that matter, just the last little bit of the runner right before the head.
call me old fashioned, but I start by removing the throttle body, spraying the inside with carb cleaner, and wiping all the gunk out. some people pour seafoam into the intake in front of the throttle body or spray carb cleaner, this is not that effective and any of build up that happens to get dislodged just ends up further into your intake manifold.

i agree with Ali, best way to clean your tb is to just take it off and clean it by hand with carb cleaner. you can even use steel wool to polish up the inside a little bit and smooth out the air flow into the intake mani.

Throttle and intake cleaning
Throttle and intake cleaning can also be effective using a pressurized setup. Ive seen a nice setup from Wynns specifically designed to clean out the intake system. The Wynns one ive seen sprays out a fine mist through a nozzle that can be inserted in the intake after the maf/filter. This would give you a completly clean intake system vrs inserting a vac hose into a can of seafoam which could be risky if done incorrectly. Most dealers have something like that but cheaper to have it done at an independent shop.
