Exhaust Guidance.
Finally, an SC400 will be in my hands soon! The first thing I would like to do is work on the exhaust. I've searched and searched and cannot come to a conclusion. I want it decently loud, and echoey (if that makes sense). I've seen a number of set ups, but they're using expensive setups ~$1200+, and I just can't find means to spend more then $500 on an exhaust. How can I get a sweet sound with just some straight pipe? If mufflers are needed, oh well. Thank you guys in advance, and I apologize for the stupid question. I've just always received great guidance from you guys!
For an ear of what I'm looking for:
But the mufflers he has on his setup are rare and expensive! Can this setup be had for cheap?

You can always go to an exhaust shop and do a custom 2.5 inch X-pipe with a set of Magnaflow mufflers for about $600 or so. Also check out the Club Lexus classifieds for good deals on exhaust setups.
I see you're located in Oklahoma. If you live near the north side of Oklahoma City/Edmond, I know of a few shops that may be able to get you a nice setup pretty cheap.

I have a complete exhaust setup for the 400 sitting in the back yard. Free to a good home. It has the stock mufflers with chrome tips, 10 inch x pipe and new resonators. Pay for shipping and it's yours. It will be cut up and thrown away this week.
