Are my engine mounts shot?
I've been experiencing some harsh shaking and vibration through out the whole car from idle to about 1500rpm. It would go away for a split second if I brake really hard from 50+mph and the car feels really harsh going over bumps ( did rack bushings/new supra LCA and coils in the last 4 months).
3 days ago while driving in the pouring rain I bottomed out HARD on a huge manhole cover ( car is slammed), luckily I didn't wreck my oil pan....ever since the car feels a ton smoother going over bumps and the shaking is completely gone, I cant even tell the engine is running at idle....
Does this sound like shot engine mounts and/or possible tranny mounts?
car is a 91 1jz jzz30 soarer with 80k miles
thanks.

Man, if you have a whirring sound, and virbation at 30-65mph, it is because your transmission mount is shot and your transmission is being held up by your exhaust pretty much.
I just did mine today and what a difference. The trans sits about 2 inches higher now. I believe the sound was just the driveshaft putting lots of force on the center main bearing. etc.
