I have a 93 sc300 with 110,xxx miles on it, and for almost a week the trac light has been on where the tach is and driving the car has got worse. First nothing was going on than came the bucking, and now the transmission is shifting quick and when I try to mash the gas to go the car falls on it's face.
Right now I'm cleaning the maf, I've changed the air filter, resetting the ecu, unplugged the traction control fuse, if the light is still on after all of that, I will next bleed the traction control valve. But if that doesn't fix the problem and it's still there what else could be wrong?

Well none of that helped, I haven't bleed the trac system yet. But after I hooked everything back up the trac light is still on and when I give it gas the car feels like it has just hit a brick wall.

i dont know the relation of the trac light but the "bucking" when does it occur? reason i ask is cause i had the SAME problem for like a year with no check engine light and finally i hooked up a datalogger and seen no signal to the TPS.
my advice would be to hook up a data logger. my car would do the same thing falling on its face if i put my foot in it the "wrong way" and kick gears too early.
and wait you have traction control? thats gotta suck i never realized our 93s had it

Yeah my 93 has traction control and heated seats. I guess I will check the tps with a volt meter and see what the outcome is. I pulled a code and I got 47 which is secondary tb I think?

yeah check the tps but if thats not it quit playing around and find someone with a datalogger. Theres a reason cars come with computers nowadays... use them to your advantageOriginally Posted by Trevstuh

I found the problem, it was the #2 transmission solenoid but it is also the secondary tps for the traction control.
Well I thought I,found my problem but I was wrong. The only way to drive my car is to lightly press the throttle and manual shift cause if I give it any more the car will fill like I hit a brick wall. My rpms and speed will slow down quick as if something is holding me back. There is a loud grunt from the intake you can hear the air its sucking but im slowing down. I have changed oil, spark plugs, drill and fill tranny fluid, 12v fuel pump mod, and it seems like it has got worse. I dont even want to drive my car no more

well the reason i ask is because i had the EXACT problem and i had a brand new tps from toyota.... tested fine and all that until i hooked up a datalogger and the tps was reading 0 voltage.
