Steering Wheel and under the seat shake!!

Steering Wheel and under the seat shake!!
So i been noticing my steering wheel, acclerator pedal(kind of) and below my seat shakes its almost like a shudder too when taking off usually 5-20mph. Also, when cruising at 40-55mph it shakes.
specs;
97 sc400 144k auto trans
i dont know if it has ever had a trans fluid flush
i done a balance and rotation on my wheels
wheel weights are there
possiblites:
torque converter???
drive shaft??
a mechanice said drive shaft but im hesistant to believe that, also dont want to drop $1,099 on one
some things to keep in mind:
i have a low idle at drive and park
i have damn near bald tires in the rear
please help!!!

I would say something is wrong with your drive shaft but the whole assembly shouldnt need to be replaced. most likely the carrier bearing, i believe is what its called.

I would replace the rear tires first to see if it maybe a vibration from unbalanced tires and then followed by doing an alignment. That would be less expensive option since its part of prev maintenance. And then if it cures the issue, fire your mechanic for trying to rip you off.

I don't really want to waste my money on the alignment it drives straight as hell. Plus I'm a broke college kid.
Will have someone check if it could be the center support bearing on the driveshaft.
