Torque Specs for valve cover bolts, 2JZ-GE?
anybody know what the oem torque specs are, and spark plug torque specs?
i'm getting ready to bolt everything down but dont want to "free hand" anything this time.
also, do i need to bolt the covers down in any sequential order?

wtf, am i using the wrong torque wrench for this??! i went to tighten the v/c bolts at 8 lbs with my torque wrench and it never clicked even though the bolt was mashing the hell out of the washers. i figured it was going overboard, so i just reversed and loosened up the bolts again.
does it even matter what kind on torque wrench i'm using?
i'm using this..
am i supposed to be using one of these?

you cant really do 8 pounds with a big torque wrench that reads in 10 ft/lb increments.
you need a inch/lb torque wrench which is usually much smaller in length.
They are also handy for doing the headstuds with more accuracy.
You can put a good amount of torque on the valve cover bolts, I know I did way more than 8 ft/lbs, but 8 is all you need. just get them tight, and if its not leaking, then its tight enough.
spark plugs is something like finger tight then another 1/4 turn. well different people say different amounts on how much to turn it, but just be sure not to over turn it.
