NEW Clutch Disc with OLD Pressure Plate??
Im going to be replacing my flywheel soon and was thinking about replacing the Clutch disc only cause I dont have funds for a whole clutch kit. Is it OK to use my existing Exedy Pressure Plate with a new Aisin Clutch Disc? The Aisin Clutch Disc has 6 springs while my old one has 4, would it matter? Will I get any noise, chatter or problems down the line?
I was looking at this Aisin Clutch Disc:

I'm using a MKIII Pressure plate and new flywheel and disk.
Unless they are scored bad, or heat warped, slap that bish back in!
Unless you are making a bajillion horsepower, then you need an Octuple-disk Clutch.
More springs = more shock absorption on engagement = More pedal friendly - ON/OFF Pucked disk feel.
Do it!
