Where is it...from what I gathered its on the passenger side under the carpet. would this be the passenger side equivalent of the kick panel fuse box location? also Ho long do the ecu 's in our cars last I have read some horror stories...is it common for them to tank?

it's actually under the carpet right where the passenger places their feet. remove a few trim pieces, peel back the carpet and you'll find it.

As for problems, they're have been a few reported problems with them, mostly ECUs loosing control of injectors causing cars to run overly rich. What exactly do you need to do with the ECU?

Bump. My no start issue persists. If an ecu looks ok is there a way to tell it crapped itself? I noticed with the key turned to on the cel light doesn't illuminate at all
