Default what a great time to have no heat

Well the thermostat is new, and the coolant is full.... now I figured the heater/ac stopped working properly was because my coolant was being pushed out the exhaust valves and not circulating. headgasket has since been replaced as has the water pump. The car no longer overheat, or gets at all hot so I know the coolant is flowing now.yet when I turn it on the air blows, but will not get even warm. I have read there is a vacuum line I can attach to it as well as there being some kind of doorthat may fail to open and or close. the last thing I've found is that if the cigarette lighter isn't working that could be the culprit since they share. a fuse. which is correct?

Oh and I drive a 93 sc300

Little update. The ac blows COLD. I thought the control valve tanking resulted in outside temp air. When the heat is on it switches from freezing cold with the ac on to Luke warm with the heater on. Would I need to replace thewhole control valve or is it just sticking?

Heater Control Valve controls whether or not you by-pass the heater core inside the car with warm coolant.

You probably hooked up the vacuum line in the wrong place, or have the one way valve backwards.

I've tried switching lines around aimlessly, but it was a high of 80 today. After a week of 69 ish high temps, so it is kinda hard to tell. Aside from a pic an explanation would work too. There is a maybe 2 inch line and a long one that leads back to the intake manifold where should each be plugged? Also there was a connection, the topmost one, that is just blocked. Could that be it

ok, so heater control valve is on the way and i plan to flush the heater core. In the mean time, how do I make heat? Do I switch the vacuum lines around, or connect them together for a temp fix

Well the heater should be hot enough to almost feel like it'll burn your hand (putting your hand right in front of the vent).

Are you sure your coolant is topped off? These cars will not get warm if it's a little low on coolant.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I changed out my HCV with this one and now I get 0 heat even with the lines swapped around like this topic shows. It just blows ice cold.

I was going to try and sort it out but something crapped out and the car is down again...I swapped the lines as a temp fix and while the car never got "hot" inside on ma heat, with the fan setting at medium(i think. cant read the display) it keeps me warm to the point I can wear a t-shirt and shorts in the 40 degree weather. Tru flushing the cooling system and burping it after you refill the coolant.

With the lines swapped on my original HCV I had enough heat to make it livable. Now with my new one all I get is ice cold air even with the line swapped Off to search some more.

I recently solved my issue with my hcv. I didn't have any heat like others here, and then tried swapping the lines to the accuator with no positive results. Well today I was looking at it again and found that the little arm on the bottom of the accuator that opens the valve and the round metal part where the valve is was slightly rusted. I freed up the valve and hit it with some lithium greese and it works great now. Hope this helps someone else.
