Default Sc300 vs 400 rear diff ratios??

I did search but everything seems conflicting so does anybody know for sure the ratios?

I ask because I feel like my sc400 gearing is a bit sluggish and if I remember properly the auto sc300 had a 4.27 vs the 3.xx that is in the car now so I am just looking to wake it up a bit in the 1/4 mile and 0-60.

from what ive read, the gearing will be better but gas mileage will be worst

I plan on pulling a diff off an auto sc300 in a junkyard and see if its any better

The higher the number, the faster the acceleration from a dead standstill.

I am putting the 3.26 ratio into a lsd. Will go with my w58 swap in my SC400. Let everyone know how it works out.

according to what I read the higher the number the faster the acceleration but the crappier the gas mileage. You sacrifice top speed for acceleration. In other words the speed you have at 2500 RPM is lower with a 4.27 than a 3.76 since you would need 4.27 turns of the shaft to equal 1 turn of the wheel vs 3.76 for every turn.

98-2000 are VVTi

97 SC400 is 3.92
