Default 2JZGTE Intake port?

I was just looking through pics I had saved and noticed this. I questioned it when I first did the swap but then forgot about it. I'm not sure exactly what it is but this guys running a breather, and mine is plugged

That would be the idle air control. Yours is plugged? How does your car idle?

Oh thats the Idle Control? I always thought it was a Vac line. As for Idling it wont idle by itself on if its cold or its a fresh start. I usually sit there with my foot lightly on the pedal for a couple min. As it warms up it idles fine tho.

Yeah, you need to unplug that thing and put a filter on it. Maybe it will idle then.

So I unplugged it and started her up and the rpms shot to 3K and it was noisy! I shut it off quick and turned down one of the idle screws almost all the way down. Re- start and its shot up to 2K and the air sound this port is now making is the loudest thing on my car you can hear it over the exhaust? Is there something I'm missing here because it just sounds like a Massive leak!

Did some searching and I guess there very faulty. Best thing to do is take it apart and clean/lubricate the parts inside. New part I read is like 400$ I mean its really only bad in the winter time. Anyone make block off plates?

You just make one with plate. But you cannot run stock ECU though.
