Default Lend a helping hand please.

I am currently trying to get a feel for the cost of my project, 2JZGTE swap into an SC300. Below I have accumulated a rough estimate of what this is going to cost me. For those of you who have done the swap in the past, please take a look and help me complete/correct the list so that I have an accurate idea of how much money I am going to need to dish out for this. Any other advice or constructive criticism is also welcome.

PLEASE do not turn this thread into a debate over which engine or tranny is a better combo or swap. I have already made up my mind on the WHAT..not I just need your help with the how. Thanks.

I know this is not all that's left but wiring is going to be a critical step as well. I'm assuming factory ECU with piggy back fuel controller?

Wiring shouldnt be an issue, I have the help of a reputable shop. But why am I going to need a piggy back? I understand the need for it later when I upgrader and need tuning, but to get it running on stock twins for now, is it necessary?

add another 400 ish for good clutch add another 300ish for downpipe / midpipe and exhaust and overall add another 1500 as a cushion for unforseens.. trust me been there done that

unless you got a bad motor , leave motor unopened , toyota does it the best and i dont believe in messing with front and rear mains unless theres evidence of seapage.. again toyota does it the best.. i have over 35k boosted miles on my motor since buying my coupe in 2007 and making 600 rwhp and have never touch front or rear mains and they are perfectly fine .. ususally fronts only go when crankcase is not being evacuated of pressure correctly

So you're saying a good clutch is going to run me $750 and exhaust is going to be $1000? Okay, I will go with that...anything else? Anyone have input on this ECU thing?

If you leave it factory, no piggy back. Just use Supra/Aristo ECU.

^^^ Awesome! Thats what I was looking for!

Quickly weeding through that and adding some things that I may not necessarily need, I have only added $450 worth of more parts. Which still puts me within my intended budget...and IF I can find a rolling shell or a cheap 300, then I will be well within range.
