sc300 basic info needed for 2jzgte swap
I am looking at a 94' SC300 auto tomorrow for $2,000 no rust. It is basically stock. the tranny doesnt go into reverse and the interior is so so. I basically want to do the 2jzgte full swap on the car right away when I get it. I have had swapped cars and higher end cars before like an NSX and S2000 etc... If I have $2,000 in the car,
1-what would I have to plan on spending to get a good clean swap done?
I know the swap costs around $2,000 so when you do this swap what all must be done, such as belts etc..., at the swap time to make it a good running reliable car to daily drive? I am having a professional do it and I havent been able to reach him do to being out of town. so if someone would list the parts and a price for everything roughly or get me a link, that would be greatly appreciated.
2- the car has 175,000 miles on it. is there anything that could be terribly wrong that SC's are known for other than the basics?
thanks a lot for the help

another thing is how is the condition of the japanese turbos when you get them? is this something that will need to be replaced? what would you do to get the car going? how about the factory radiator(ge) and intercooler (gte)? I know they run the best on the stock clutch fan...
any recommended places for a good reliable motor swap I can pre-check?

Alright I got the SC its a 96' pearl white/ tan auto. 186k. great exterior condition with no body damage or rust at all and interior is nice to.. I bought it stock from an older guy with good maintenance records. paid $3,000 and it has no wrecks at all. Im pretty excited, hah but still looking foer the swap info so I can start planning that now.
I have 2 issues, 1 its a 96' and here in missouri cars 96'+ require an obd2 plug in emssions and 2 the cd changer in the trunk will drain the battery if I leave the cartrage in the changer, but it wont if I take it out? this is what he told me, but I am to lazy to do that every time I drive so I havent messed with it??
I have had a lot of really nice cars and for the money you cant beat a lexus...
