How much was your last Timing Belt, Water Pump
cam seal, tensioner, etc service?
Called the stealership just to see if they were in the same ballpark as my local guy but it was double--$1500 bucks.
Man, thats steep. I thought the $800 offered by my guy was a bit high.
Unfortunately this isnt a job I want to tackle. I turned a brake job into an all-day affair just last week.
i think the service included the standard TB, WP, cam and crank seals and tensioner.
id hate to see if valve cover gaskets and drive belt was added.
anything else you would definitely change at the 200k mileage ....besides the entire motor?

I called around for pricing to get just my timing belt changed and got quoted from $550 to $1200 the dealership being the lowest estimate...
I went with the dealership
$475 labor (ouch) $79 for the part
also ended up having some extra work done including pulleys and serpentine belt changed (about $300)
currently driving around a 2010 es350 loaner for the next couple days

I have a spare engine and trans sitting in the garage
I'll most likely go to my regular mechanic and have him do it. He's a mercedes, BMW, Ferrari etc. guy so I think he can handle it. And he's 2 blocks from my work.

My water pump went out a couple weeks ago. Replaced the timing belt while I was in there. Took me right around 3 hours, and the cost of parts (~$175 with parts store discount). The whole thing is fairly straight forward. Only moderately difficult thing is removing the crank bolt and pulley, but the right tools make that easy.
