Default what brand of turbo would you recommend?

What brand of turbocharger did you use on your na-t build? Which manufacturer makes the highest quality turbos? What is the least expensive quality turbo? (ebay turbos is NOT an answer)

Least expensive quality turbo manufacturer. Borg Warner hands down. You can also settle for Master Power turbo, but my preference is Borg Warner.

Overall Borg Warner, but for smaller situations Garrett.

what kind of turbo do you have in mind? What kind of power?

Borg Warner has some tractor, truck and industrial turbos that are cheap but their performance line is quite costly. They have some awesome Extended Tip Turbos in the S3XX frame.

The GT3076 is a turbo I would classify as too small for a 3L. Garrett makes great products but I'd step it up to something about 61mm inducer or so.

my 2jz gt3076r 0.80 housing 245rwkw @ 12.5psi full boost from 2400rpm perfect for street with a standard 1jz ecu.

next gt3540 0.80 housing 270rwkw @ 12psi full boost from 3500rpm using the same standard 1jz ecu.

now raised the boost to 20psi with emanage ultimate 310rwkw

I have a turbonetics on my car and I've been very happy with it. Garrett is the brand I'd go with if I didn't have my turbonetic turbo due to second hand availability.

BWs362 you have many options in flange/ar http://www.bullseyepower.com/

I have used so many turbos and the BW's are reliable. Best part is when they wear out (all turbos do) you can get replacement parts for cheap.

I was going to say this. Check into Holset turbos. They can be had on Cummins forums for between 200-300 dollars and they're extremely tough.

I ran a Precision PT-61 with no issues. Thats what comes with the Dave H N/A-T kit. They are very nice turbo's but definately not cheap.

Precision for cost to quality ratio. Garrett for quality (although the Borg Warner wheels are ****) although they're costly. And Turbonetics for having the most hassle free warranty. Really it's the only company I'd say has a warranty that actually pays out- period.
