Default P1633 ecm malfunction! Limp mode!

last night, i went to good ole mickie D's during my lunch break, and as i was waiting for my food at the window, the car began to idle very high, must have been 1000-1700 rmps, and the "Trac Off" light started flashing at me, so i get my food i pull over, i'm hitting the throttle and it's like in limp mode, it won't accelerate at all... i read the obdII and it gave me a

p1633 - ECM Malfunction?

so i reset the codes and turned the car off, then on.. and it's driving like normal since last night... i can turn the trac control on and off like normal as well

i just lowered the car, so i thought NOOOO the tires ate threw the wiring harness.. but not yet! lol i'm relocating them 2mrw, picking up a impact gun and compressor 2mrw morning

anyone know if the ecm really needs to be replaced, because it's driving perfectly fine now... or did it just freak out on me..

P1633 is the ETCS system (Throttle control) failing, that would explain why you pressed the throttle and it refused to accelerate. As for what exactly caused it, I can't help you much there, maybe some of the electrical wizards on this site may be able to help you. Maybe visually inspect the ecm to see if maybe you have a leaking cap or somethin'.
