CX Radiator install.
Thus is in a Mk4 Supra, but we all know it pertains to SC's, as well.
I decided to try one of these. The price was right, ($180, from the popular auction site), and it looked aweful close to the Mishimoto, ...which has had good reviews. It fit, ...Id say,... almost perfect. I didnt have to make any adjustments, anywhere.
The ONLY issue I had was that, just one of the little brackets I made for the shroud, wouldnt work. Needs to be just a little longer, to make it. I dont know how this would affect those with stock shrouds. I guess it could be an issue, ...and I dont have my stock shroud, to check. That, and I had to trim the top nose, back, about .5". The neck sticks out just a bit further.
I went out and did some 3rd and 4th gear highway pulls, with only ONE fan tuned on, ...never got hot (73 degrees, today). The welds are nothing super impressive, but I dont think they look bad. They couldve polished it up alot more, also. Ima handle that next time I detail the engine bay (needs to be done, now!).
On to the pics. You be the judge. Btw, ..you cant use a stock style cap, with this. Sucks, because I have a brand new Greddy, right here.
