how does the PS pump spring and retainer type thing go back in?
for those of you that have changed out your PS line:
i changed out my leaky PS line with the driftmotion line yesterday and the install went smoothly, so i thought.
when i removed my stock line from the PS pump, i made a mistake and removed the other bolt that goes between the PS line and PS pump. Right after i removed that, a pretty large spring and a cylinder type shaped metal piece both fell out of the now open hole in the pump and fell onto the ground.
well i put the spring and metal piece back in how i thought it should go, put fluid back in, did all the normal stuff for getting the air out of the line and then test drove the car...now I have NO power steering at all so im assuming i put those two parts in wrong.
does anybody have any idea how these two pieces are supposed to go back in? I can go out and remove everything again and pull the two pieces and take a pic of them if it would help.
Heres a pic of the bolt that i removed that caused the two pieces to fall out:
