My 1995 sc400/s gas tank maxes out at 12 gallons, and arent they suppose to carry 20 gallons ??

I need help Im constanly going to gas stations and my gas meter wont go all the way up, but when i want to pump more it stopes as if it was full

You're right! the SC has a gallon capacity of 20 gallons, 17 are regular and 3 are reserves. If you start to top it off when the low gas light comes on, you should be "full" at 17 gallons or close to it.

Do you drive the car like a maniac? or perhaps your gauge meter/cluster is acting up or something?
