Sc400 gurgling sound/ hot exaust
Hey everyone, my 1992 sc400 had a new timing belt and water pump installation. Everything is ok except at low rpms it struggles like there's a small lack of power. The exhaust makes a low gurgling sound and it seems like it gets to hot to quick. I hear sc's are notorious for there engines to run hot. I read somewhere that when your cats clog it can cause power loss and the exhaust can heat up extremely quick. What do you guys think?

Check your coolant levels. Air can get in the lines and that could be causing the sound. You should always check them after a couple days after getting any kind of work done to your cooling system.

The coolant level has been at a steady level where its supposed to be. I haven't seen any change. When I first got the car done(about 5 weeks ago) I was having problems with the temp raising to the hot level, so I bleed the coolant system and its fine, but its almost always a little above the mid point on the temp gauge.
