Engine RPM Vs MPH

Engine RPM Vs MPH
Quick question guys, I couldn't find it using Search.
On a 93 SC300, auto trans, what are your RPM's vs indicated speed? On mine, it shows exactly 1750 RPM's (third line above the 1) at 50 mph. Is this correct? What are you guys with SC3's showing at 50, 55, 60 mph?
Thanks for the help.

I have been wondering the samething. I dont know about 50 MPH I never noticed at that speed, but at 60-85 my RPM's are just below 3k...................i'm wondering if this is normal or not. Tomorrow on my way to work I will check and see where my car is at 50.
I swear I saw a schematic somewhere with this info on it I just cant remember where is was

don't know the answer but I'm kind of annoyed that for the 4-speed auto, the rpm goes pretty high for highway driving...makes highway cruising above 60 mph feel like a chore
need a freaking 5th gear bad!!

LOL I know the feeling. Between the exhaust leak I have and the engine revving so high at fairly low speeds evey car I pass thinking I'm trying to race em lol, its actually kind funny.

Thanks for the response guys, I appreciate the feedback. Just for clarification, my (actually my daughter drives it) SC3 is bone stock, 15inch wheels with factory sized tires. I was wondering because I read a thread where guys were discussing haveing a SC4 cluster in a SC3, and the associated problem with the RPM's reading correctly.
Also, this car shifts out at around 5800 rpm's when you bury your foot. I believe the car redlines at 6500 rpm's. It sounds like it is reving higher, but the gauge indicates otherwise. That is starting from a dead stop, and absolutely trying to push your foot thru the floorboard. The car runs fantastic other than this small issue. Thanks for the feedback guys.
