Default 93 sc300 trans problem

Hey guys. I recently purchased a 93 SC300 5spd. My problem I'm having is the trans will shift smooth most of the time but there are times where I can't get into any gear. I have to press the clutch in a couple of times then it goes in or sometiMes I have to force it in. Does the tranny need a rebuild or a clutch? Or synchros (sp?)

Let me know what you guys think.

does the shifter pop out of gear while driving?
maybe it may need a tranny flush change.

No it doesn't pop out. Do u think a flush would do it? When it shifts it's smooth so I don't know why it just decides to it doesn't want to take any gears.

How can I check the slave?

Btw is the clutch supposed to let out so high? I'm use to my old car (RSX-S) it would engage slot closer.

I agree with Peter_95, to flush the tranny. In the past, (not with the SC) I have used royal purple for manual transmissions with great success.

I'm going to give that a try. What's the best trans fluid to use?
