any updates? i had the exact same problem with my sc400, it turned out that the injectors were stuck open, this was caused by a bad ecu.. what i did was open up the ecu and change out the leaking capacitors, them baam, fixed.. i heard others had the same problem with bad coils... eventually i will upgrade to an aftermarket EMS..

its ur ecu bro...i had the same issue in my 94 sc3 and i did everything as far as 02 sensors spark plugs.. u name it then changed my ecu and bam there u go...trust me on this man...search my name i have a thread on it i never really answer it but im tellin u i fixed it with getting another ecu...wuts happenin is ur ecu is not reading right which is causing ur fuel injectors to dump more and more fuel in ur cylinders...and 1 of ur cylinders is not burning the fuel which is causing the awful strong fuel smell...i kno its a pain in the a** i been thru it...jus try the ecu...and lmk

Well about 2 months ago i changed plugs/wires/cap/rotor.And after that the car started up and ran fine no problems what so ever.I drove it down the road and on the way back i got on it and it started breaking up a higher rpm. Then after about 15min it started missing and then it would clear up and miss again. So i haven't messed with it since.
