Default loose auto shifter

my dildomatic has been rattling really bad for the last couple months... it's super loose and i took apart alot of stuff in attempt to fix it, but it looks like i'd have to drop the tranny to get to it... i have no idea.

anyone ever had this problem? or any advise on how to fix it?

I never really searched a solution for it, but what I did was wrap tape around the base where it meats the top plastic and that tape around the actual shifter basically fills the gap between the shifter and the plastic piece not letting it rattle. Then again I'm in college now and don't have the time or money to be taking the car apart.
