Hi, I've been a fan of this forum and the Lexus SC for a while now. I tried to fire up my SC that's been sitting in my garage for the last six months. Totally dead of course, so we tried to jump start the car. All the lights come on , but the engine doesn't turn. Would I need a new starter or something? It used to be working before I garaged it.

I dont understand why a no-start is in the performance section. Seriously.

Check the battery voltage and that voltage is getting to the starter. Does it make a clicking noise as you try to crank it? If so the battery is shot and needs to be replaced. If not check the wiring to the starter for corrosion.

I think it's the battery perhaps..
