i need to know how how to remove the linkage from the r154 tranny

Tranny has 3 section, Bellhousing, mid housing and backhousing.
You'll need to remove the 2 screws on the linkage then remove all the screws
that connect the midhousing to the backhousing, located long the outside of the tranny.

Slide back the housing and slide out the linkage.

To put back together you'll need to do the same and remember to seal the with silicon the housing.

I might be missing something but I assume this is in general what you wanted to know

also, when re-assembling, make sure the end of the "linkage" as you call it, is slotted into the correct spot, in the shift rods.
