1jz cooling?
ok heres the deal.... i have a 1jz in my sc, the problem is that, it over heats everytime i put my car to the test.. i have a 16' and a 12' autozone fans on the car.... and same with both of my friends cars, both have JZs motor. so i asked my other friend with a JZX100 (chaser) he's running a stock clutch fan.. everytime we're at a event... his car never over heats... and we the electrical fans JZs always over heats.. heres my main question. what fan do yall think other then FAL will do the job that keeps me from over heating? what would yall prefer?

Similar prob, similar setup. I bought two electric fans (no name brand) to put into mine, but after some re-research I found out that only a small percentage of people who have say they actually work out as planned, I never installed mine and my 1JZ stays at around 210 degrees, not good. I just bought a fan shroud and there was no difference, so next is flushing the radiator fluid, then a CAI, then putting heat shielding around the exhaust manifold, then after that...i dunno.

Stock w/ shroud. Theres a reason Lexus/toyota didnt put electric fans on the radiator for these cars. And why your friends car doesnt over heat but yours does.

stock fan and shroud for the win. if you take a look at the japan drift/track soarers and supras, most of them have the stock fan and shroud. if the stock setup can cool enough for them, im sure it will be enough for us.
if this tread is still around in a few weeks, i can update will my personal experience once my car is tuned, as i have the stock supra fan and shroud.
