Default MAF Question?

Does anyone know what UNIT would eliminate the MAF meter? AEM wideband, Emanage BLUE or Ultimate, or what else? Please let me know because I am tired of this stupid STOCK MAF replaced 3 times and spent too much money fr used CRAP.

I think you mean the AEM EMS...

Check out the AEM EMS or MAP ECU.

You can also check out the HKS VPC/SAFCII combo

Default MAF Translator Pro

I would highly reccomend the MAF Translator Pro. maftpro.com.

I'm using it in my 95 supercharged SC400 and it works 99% beautifully. The 1% I'm having problems with is likely due to my lack of tuning knowledge.

Anyway, I'm using a GM 3bar MAP sensor and the Maftpro to run speed density. I have a bypass/blowoff valve in place where the MAF should be and my MAF sensor is currently sitting in a box, on a shelf, in my garage.

It can also be used to translate MAF's if you wanted to use a different (GM, other) one.

The tech support is great. The unit did not come out of the box ready to run my car in speed density, I had to work with the tech support to make it happen. If you have a 300, you could likely use the Supra settings to make it work.

If you browse through the link in my sig, you can find some more info on it and some pics.

Forgot to mention.

The MAFTPro has the potential to control timing.

Can also be used as a boost controller.

Can be used to contorl open loop AFR automatically. Idle and cruise if your in full time open loop. High load, open loop driving AFR.

Not trying to sell the MAFTPro to anyone, I just love the unit and I'm very impressed with what it can do for the money.

MAP ECU is going to be the cheapest route to eliminating the MAF I believe. I wired one into my car a few nights ago, now I'm just dealing with the headache of getting the USB to serial conversion to work on Vista.
