SC400 Cooling fan fluid requirements ...

I was checking the fluids on my SC400 and noticed the fluid level for the cooling fan was a little low. The requirement is for Dextron II ATF, which was the standard for 1993. Moving forward to the present time, Dextron III is the current standard.

I was just wondering what Dextron III ATF you would recommend? I went to the parts store and quickly became overwelmed by all the choices I had.

Get the Mobil 1 Synthetic Dexron Fluid. It is backwards compatible with Dexron II and good stuff!

How often should this fluid be changed and should we do a full flush or just get a turkey baster and suck the reservoir out and refill?

Can the new synthetic fluid mix with the hold fluid?

Thank you shern, I'll do that. The fluid in the reservoir is a light purple and VERY clean. The only reason I am at all concerned is that it is a little low.
