Default Dyno Results what do you think?

I got the car dynoed a week and a half ago and figured I would post the results. What do you think?

1997 SC300 5spd:
60k mile 2jz-ge engine (164k on chassis)
Boost Logic 2.5mm Head Gasket
Arp Head Studs
GREDDY Titanium Exhaust
Walbro Fuel Pump
RC engineering 440cc (for now)
NGK plugs
HKS Intercooler
Dave H turbo Kit with the TE-44 (for now)
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch Set
Black SAFCII
AEM Uego Wideband
Defi gauges
3 Spoke Lexus black and wood steering wheel
TT shocks
Eibach Springs

Car made 315 rwhp on a .6 bar spring no boost controller yet...
Obviously there is a lot left in this set up. I am breaking in a clutch and figured it was best to get a good safe tune and make sure everything is okee dokee before turning up the boost

At what point do I need to worry about controlling timing with a piggy back or standalone?

They didn't hook up your ignition signal and measure the torque curve?
Do they have a wideband sniffer to log your a/f ratio?

with just 8psig of boost, I wouldn't worry too much about ign. timing control yet, about 2-3 degree retard off your base timing should be plenty safe.
I'm more interesting to see your a/f ratio and your TE-44 compressor map if you have them.

IIRC, the only piggyback that can alter ign. timing is E-manage ultimate, and I strongly agree about getting the a/f work out first, then target on the ign. timing and cam timing to find the "hidden" power and alter power delivery.
One bad example is, a lot of DSM folks dump tons of fuel and boost into their 4G63, but they run little to no ign. timing to keep it safe, which is not an effective way of tuning.

Another popular piggyback is S-afc.
S-AFC won't change timing, it will in-directly; it bumps the timing to the "corrected load cell". i.e. you upsized your injectors by 30% over stock, at 4krpm, you took out about -20% fuel just to make it runs. The computer will spray the corrected amount of fuel (-20% in load under 4krpm cells), but ign. timing wise, it will gives the ign. timing of 4krpm with 20% less load. Some engine has up to 35 deg of timing during mid range under light load. So if you are on boost, WOT, you might have the right amount of fuel @4krpm, but you might have way too much ign. timing in those "grey area" due to the SAFC.

315rwhp is a good start

Nice numbers for low boost! Your setup is very similar to mine. I made 422 @17psi (pump gas) and 480 @ 21psi (w/ race gas). This was @ 10:1 A/F and the VPC GCC setup.

I would suggest U buy an onboard WB02 and an SAFCII and a methanol kit.

I'm running a 1996 sc.
2.5 HG te-44 dave H kit
550cc inj.
255walbro pump
VPC (no MAF)
SAFCII
OBD1 ECM.
Devils own alcohol injection

I now run 25psi on pump gas w/ methanol injection. And I'm running factory base 10* timing. The methanol takes care of detonation issues.

With the SAFCII I can lean the car out. W/ the leaner A/F 11ish:1 @ 25lbs, new large dual core greddy SMIC. And 3" downpipe W/ 4" electric cutout.

I'm guessing I'm close to 500 WHP now.

Yea, those are good numbers for .6 bar. Where did you dyno at?

Seeya,

It's hard to believe 8 psi on this engine can gain 150 hp over stock. I think the stock SC300 has 225 bhp, which can be dynoed at around 170 rwhp. However, I'm not sure about this rwhp. But this is the proven fact with your dyno sheet, so congrats on that. The SC400 92-95 with 6 psi only gains about 80 additional hp.

Nice! I might keep the te-44 a little longer now.
