Ok, I've been planning to do the 2jzgte swap into an sc300 for quite some time. However I have not yet crossed an sc300 yet that has been satisfactory to buy. A while back i saw one for sale locally with 125 thousand (highway miles) on the clock and it was a 5-speed totally stock, super clean for 5 and a half grand, I have no idea why i didn't jump on it, I should have, I was looking for one with 80,000 miles, but i should have gone for that one, sadly it's gone now. Anyway's when contacting different importing companies for engine quotes. I was offered a very rare and delightful proposition. The contact i have is in japan right now and he has found a twin turbo supra with under 50k miles on the clock. He is not legally allowed to bring in the chassis, but he says he can give strip the car down as if he was gonna do the swap and bring everything in. He can get me the 2jzgte with everything still attached, the 6 speed v160 getrag, the LSD, k-frame, sweet ARC front mount with hardpiping and BOV, uncut engine harness, front engine bay harness, dash harness, radiator hoses, and fuel pump all for under 8k, yes that's right all for under EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. However the catch is i have to put down a 10% payment very soon. And i'm not sure I am 100% capable to do that without the car and all ha. But it seems to good to pass up. What should I do????
