Tansmission swapping from 2 cars.
Alright, here is my situation. I have put a lot of thought into this, and was looking for some opinions from the good guys and gals here at CL.
I just purchased a second SC300 (from Xotic sC). It is Black/Black with a clean interior, and has the 97 front end. It is however, an Automatic. I sustained an injury in Iraq and am not sure if I can fully operate a manual car. If I can, I'd like to swap my 5 Speed into the Black SC, and put the automatic from that into my Red SC and sell it. If both cars are sitting side by side, I'm pretty sure I'd have all the supplies I need. The only bad thing I can think of, is the dash will still have the gear lettering from the automatic. Since the cars have a 30K~ difference, I am unsure how to tackle this feat.
Any ideas?

You can pull the cluster and remove the backing lights for the gear selector.
I think swapping the 5 speed to an auto would be a pain. Maybe it's just me, but the whole auto shifter linkage/selector parts were confusing when I was removing mine.
There would also be the chances that CEL's would show up. May want to swap ECU's while you are at it.
