First off, that sounds amazing!

Is the 2.5" piping? Are those the stock cats?

yes and yes :]

i have to use 2.5 cause.. 1) im keeping the piping stock before the stock cat.. soo i need some extra "room" to compensate.. for a single exhaust soo i used 2.5

Thanks

I love that you just went with something totally different. Again, it sounds so good.

I would have to think that you would have biased your power band a bit to the low end with the 2.5" piping. Did you notice any increase in kick off the line? Personally, I think this is a more ideal choice than even 2.25" duals for flow on a stock motor.

I was just about to buy mufflers for my exhaust from Summit tomorrow...and this video is making me rethink my choice (since no muffler sounds so wonderful - and not overly loud either).

HAHAHA well
before u do anything
the video's do NO justice what so ever
its actually louder in person.. BUT
its soo sexy that you love it..

I DO feel a better acceleration.. but i never really launched yet.. cause im saving gas.. parents only giving me 60dollars a week for gas.. and yea.. i drive 50 miles a day (commuting sucks)

but
when i said drone is not bad..

its kinda bad at 2k ONLY.. with windows rolled down..
if its UP then its not bad at all!
after u pass the 2k range its perfect! u hear the crisp V8 and no drone :]

the 2.5" pipe should prevent a more contrained environment for the exhaust particles as compared to 2.25" duals, yielding more efficient flow on the low end when exhaust particles are flowing with less velocity.

A single 2.5" pipe can still flow 240hp unhindered, which is about what the 1UZ puts out. Theorhetically, you last 10hp are coming at the expense of back pressure...with your first 240hp coming unimpeded (and efficiently at that).
