Default SC300 stock exhaust w/ deleted resonators

Got my resonators cut out for $20 by a local muffler shop. At first, i didnt hear a difference at all but, in about 2 hours of driving around, it got a lot deeper then started to get loud Best $20 ive ever spent

Im planning on doing this too?
The sound doesnt seem to be that much different.

Does it 'grumble' and is it alot deeper?

Any performance gains or just louder?

I deleted my resonators on an SC400. Performance wise, you are not going to notice anything. Maybe you gain half of a horse or 2% better throttle response.

All the resonators do is help dampen sound waves, so -by deleting them- you will hear slightly more sound with a slightly more true engine tone as well. So, yeah, the sound is not going to be that much different; but, it is definitely going to be louder when you are getting on the throttle.

What if you were to delete the resonators AND the rear mufflers too?

Sounds better/louder, I'm sure.

I deleted the resonators (SC400) and now getting info for the next modification. I would love to take the mufflers off to see how it sounds. I plan on doing something with the center cat eventually, just having a hard time on which setup to go with. Here's a few exhaust videos:

Lexus SC300 w/o mufflers. Sounds great!:

Lexus SC400 w/ turn downs (?). I don't know exact what turn downs are (like cut outs?) but it sounds nice and how I'd like my SC400 to sound:

Lexus SC400 w/ cutoffs. Damn, I want this sound, too.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oYKcabelI8

turn downs are just exhaust tips that turn down: http://www.sporttruckdirect.com/Pics...wn_Tip_Big.jpg

Hm, not sure if its the vid, but not really feeling how deleted resonators sound on the sc300. In my opinion it doesn't produce a clean, throaty sound. I think deleted resonators on the sc400 sound alot better.

The sc 400 with the cutouts sounds like a monster .I did some custom 3" to 2.5 dual exhause and so far it quiet, hopefully the dont get any louder than they are already.

I drove my car around for 2 months with stock exhaust, w/just the cut resonators, i heard a huge difference. Much deeper in low rpms and alot louder in higher rpms. At idle, it does the wop wop wop wop wop thing, sounds super pimp I doubt any performance was gained, but def louder.

I just had a look under my car and it appears to go from cat --> cat --> Y pipe --> 2 resonators --> 2 mufflers
